I had the pleasure of fishing with Josh on Lake Okeechobee. We fished out of Clewiston, which is one of the best locations to fish out of on the South End of the Lake. It has some gorgeous scenery and great fishing.
The winds calmed and picked up throughout our fishing trip. It made for tricky fishing conditions but we still managed to make it happen and put some quality largemouth bass in the boat. We first went through the shiners which took some time to start.
Once the shiners were done, we started throwing artificial baits. Chatter bait and swim baits were effective in catching good numbers of largemouth bass. Josh caught a total of 30 bass with one weighing 4.5 and another weighing 5 pounds. Many of the bass ranged from 1-3 pounds though.
For Josh’s first time on Lake Okeechobee, he had a great fishing experience. I am looking forward to fishing with him again in the future to catch even more bass. Don’t miss out on your adventure on Lake Okeechobee today!!
